In December 2022, Rockdale Musical Society proudly returned to the stage with Disney’s Frozen Jr., presented at the iconic Rockdale Town Hall. This production marked a deeply meaningful milestone for the society — our first musical back on stage following the COVID-19 shutdowns.

Adapted especially for young performers, Frozen Jr. brought the magic of Arendelle to life through vibrant storytelling, energetic choreography, and the much-loved songs audiences know and adore, including Let It Go, Do You Want to Build a Snowman?, and For the First Time in Forever. The production showcased the incredible talent of our junior cast, supported by a passionate creative team and dedicated volunteers.

More than just a show, Frozen Jr. represented resilience, renewal, and the joy of live theatre returning to our community. It was a celebration of young voices finding the stage again, families coming together in the auditorium, and the power of musical theatre to reconnect us after a time of separation.

This season will always be remembered as a special chapter in Rockdale Musical Society’s history — the show that brought us back together, and reminded us that even after the longest winter, the doors to the theatre can open again. ❄️✨
